It is sometimes impossible to conduct experiments because of practical problems. Researchers must sometimes rely on alternative strategies, such as animal research. While animal research provides a practical solution for the ethics of research, there are also problems and restrictions with this type of experimentation. First, there is the question of whether the findings on the animals can be generalized to apply to humans. Second, there are limitations on what can be done with animals. They have many rights, such as protection from undue pain.
